Our Story Triple Oak Vineyard is located on a gentle southeast-facing slope in the small historic community of Oakland, Oregon. Owners Paul and Betty Tamm planted the vineyard in the year 2000 and began producing wine commercially with their 2005 vintage. Paul, a former research chemical engineer, is the principal operator of Triple Oak Vineyard. Betty, a professionally trained biologist, spends most of her time running a nonprofit corporation that develops affordable housing and promotes economic development in small southwestern Oregon communities, but she also assists in the vineyard and with winemaking as time permits. Paul and Betty moved to Oregon from the San Francisco Bay Area in 1992 seeking new challenges and a change in lifestyle. Triple Oak Vineyard is a micro producer (~200 cases/year) of fine wines for the discerning consumer. Our intention is to remain small and deliver quality products with good value to a limited number of loyal customers. Presently we produce six wines: Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Dry Pinot Noir Rosé, Pinot Gris, Dry Gewürztraminer and Red Oak, a blend of Pinot Noir and Tempranillo. Our white wines and rosé are available in very limited quantities and are made available exclusively to members of our "Case Club". In return for purchasing at least one case per calendar year of Triple Oak Vineyard wines, members of the Case Club receive a discount relative to our normal retail pricing. The name of our business derives from the fact that we are located on Oak Street in the town of Oakland and the name "Tamm" means oak in Estonian. While none of this was preplanned, we couldn‘t resist acknowledging a remarkable coincidence. Our red wines are available for tasting and purchase at our tasting room located within Oakland Deli and Wines in downtown Oakland, Oregon. In addition, by appointment, we will happily provide a tour of the vineyard and a private tasting . The wine culture has become such an important part of our life that we look forward to discussing it with fellow enthusiasts. |
